A Splash of Colour on the Streets- Painting Utility Boxes in Birmingham.

Flowers are blooming on Shirley high street in Solihull! Courtesy of Solihull Council we were commissioned to turn six utility boxes into pieces of public art along the Stratford Road as part of the work to brighten the high street in Shirley.

The ‘Daisy Box’ pictured with Councillor Karen Grinsell.

Wildflowers have been chosen as the theme of the trail to create cohesion running along the high street - from the public art piece ‘Poppy Island’ to the white daisies that adorn the entrance to Shirley Park. Each design will feature hidden ‘minibeasts’ for children to find.

We’ve been loving chatting to curious locals on the streets in between running to the pub to wash our brushes. You’ll be surprised to hear ‘you’ve missed a spot’ has only been said the once.
